Sr. Human Resources Generalist – Plant Operations

New Division of a fortune company is setting up operations in North Oakland County. This person will be critical in setting up all facets of Human Resources at this Tool and Die facility. Qualified candidate should have 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, along with proven ability to multitask, have persistence and be results oriented. Must enjoy working individually and in a team environment. Requirements include:
• Knowledge and proven application of Employment Law
• Health, Safety and Environmental experience
• Non-union experience in a plant environment
• Recruiting skills at all levels
• Must have payroll and benefits experience

Director of Quality

Our client is a leading non-automotive manufacturer of plastic products, and is seeking a DIRECTOR OF QUALITY to join their team. In this position you would be responsible for planning and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives to implement the Quality functions. The successful candidate will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ability to provide leadership in areas of continuous improvement
• Capacity to develop team members across multiple locations
• Ability to effectively implement quality systems to become a leader in the industry
• Must be willing to perform work in a team environment -adhering to all attendance and safety rules, regulations and equipment requirements
• Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain quality product supply and support introduction of new products.
• Champions the company’s environmental, health and safety standards.
• Deploys excellent project management skills in order to develop quality objectives, manage overall quality plan, corrective actions, process improvement, and auditing timelines.
• Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in an applied science or engineering field required, master’s preferred.
MUST BE SIX SIGMA CERTIFIED-GREEN OR BLACK BELT
• 10+ years in manufacturing and quality assurance
• Injection molding background
• Multiple location experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Experience resolving issues in a team environment
• Be able to travel as needed
• Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working directly with material and component vendors.
• Organizational/Program Management skills
