Director, Global Compensation, Benefits & HRIS
Our client, a highly respected international automotive supplier is seeking to hire a Director of Global Compensation, Benefits and HRISfor their corporate headquarters. This multi-million dollar global corporation entered the industry strategically with a commitment to grow the business through increasing market share because of the quality and service they provide their customers. This role is considered critical to the continued growth and future success of this company. We are only considering candidates with experience in implementing HRIS Globally along with compensation and benefits. The Global Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS will have the responsibility for the global HR function for the entire company. We are looking for that individual that possesses a high degree of experience, energy, intelligence, drive, motivation, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The company is focused on a Human Resource professional that is located in metro Detroit area and that has the following experience and skills:
Provide leadership, planning, project coordination, and management for the development and implementation of a cost-effective Global based HRIS.
Analyze and direct all functional related activities within the scope of the Human Resources Information System.
Administration of employee benefits in all company operations.
Guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans.
Surveys industry and/or community to determine company’s competitive position in employee benefits.
Develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises administration of existing plans.
Develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to company and employee.
Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to appropriate staff as needed.
Provides advice to corporate staff and Regional HR Directors on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for corporate staff including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken on salaried employees.
Supervises the participation in and conduct of both exempt and nonexempt salary surveys throughout the globe to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. Develop the annual merit budget recommendation and for administering the merit pay process.
Develops specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans to maintain company’s competitive position in labor market, and obtain uniform benefit package for all possible company locations.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be eligible for this role, you must have Global HRIS implementation experience. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in a Human Resources or related discipline with 10 + years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role. To be successful, this individual must have the personality and style that allows him/her to adapt to and work within the culture of the organization, direct and approachable, with an outgoing personality and high level of energy. Exhibit the ability to make management decisions with wide ranging impact. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with both internal and external constituents at all levels is a must, along with strong organization skills and the ability to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction
