Our client a growing automotive supplier located in Oakland County is looking to add a new Accountant position to their team. The company offers an excellent benefit package along with opportunity for growth. The accountant will be responsible to assist in monthly close, forecasting, and annual plan development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reconcile, understand and maintain accuracy for specified general ledger balance sheet accounts.
• Tracking and reporting SG&A variances to Plan or Forecast.
• Reconcile North America Budget & Forecast and determination of variances
• Prepare and analyze SG&A departmental spending and variances.
• Prepare YE audit and tax work papers.
• Provide period departmental actual/budget reporting and research questions on charges and variances to budget
• Fixed asset capitalization information YE audit and work paper preparation
• SG&A vendor spending detail for variance reporting.
• Provide monthly and annual tax work paper information, tax depreciation reporting and various adhoc.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Bachelors degree required in accounting or business.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years working in general accounting
• Team player with a “can do” attitude.
• Flexible, able to multi task and meet department deadlines.
• Proficiency using Excel and creating/using Pivot tables.
• Period end and Year end accounting and reporting including preparation of account reconciliations.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written. Able to work with a wide variety of people and at all levels in the organization. Use of appropriate mode and tone when communicating with internal and external customers.
• Experience with AS400 helpful.

Sr. Financial Analyst

Expanding North Oakland County Tier One Supplier is adding to their team in finance. This person would provide financial support in the areas of Margin Analysis, Forecasting, Mergers and Acquisitions to the sales, marketing, innovation and business development functions.
Develop global methodology for the creation and distribution of program contribution and distribution of Program Contribution Margin Reports.
• Understand the nature of customer pricing agreements
• Develop a reporting protocol for identifying and communicating Value Add Sales and associated contribution margins.
• Knowledge of raw materials and the impact of market movements on cost
• Quotation methodology
• Ability to derive overall customer profitability
• Budgeting and Forecasting using Cintrix database
• Review, enhance, model OEM’s creating a meaningful method of communications
• Facilitate information to the Regional Financial Functions
• Develop reporting protocol to identify value add sales and associated contribution margins
• Development and distribution of monthly reports
• Create financial models supporting M/A decisions
• Development of Product Cost estimates
• Develop a reporting protocol for identifying and communicating Value Add Sales and associated contribution margins
• Must be able to drive overall customer profitability
• Analysis of capital equipment
Required Education and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• MBA desired
• General knowledge of GAAP reporting
• Strong Excel and advanced modeling techniques
• Advanced analytical, organization and interpersonal skills
• Excellent collaborations, verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Manufacturing and or automotive experience

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years financial analysis/accounting  experience and have knowledge of manufacturing accounting process.
