Growing Oakland County Automotive supplier is seeking a Program Manager. The position will be responsible for interior trim component programs from kick off to launch. The company is in a tremendous growth stage and offers a very generous benefit package and 401-K with match. .
Responsibilities:
- Manages projects from kick off until project closure
- Facilitate the PMT meetings, issuing in a timely manner the proper documentation for team members to review, and following up on issues before and after the PMT meetings; Ensure proper Plant personnel are informed
- Maintain all PM schedules and customer documents.
- Manage pre-production build events with timelines, material orders/trackers and sample requests to support build quantities/trackers
- Manage the engineering change process
- Develop plans and track the completion of APQP and PPAP information
- Adhere to and promote the quality certification process
- Active interface with OEM and Tier 1 customers and suppliers
- Visit customer locations & plants during major milestone events to support the teams. Some travel to Mexico and locally
- Annually participate and drive to closure cost savings and PIP projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or bachelor equivalent) in engineering or related field
- 10+ years automotive industry experience
- 5+ years of automotive program management experience
- BS degree preferred and PMP certification preferred
- Experience with (interior) automotive soft trim components preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional team to project completion through effective communication and relationship building
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
