Growing Oakland County Health Care Company is seeking a Human Resources / Payroll Administrator to assist the Senior HR Generalist. The responsibilities include employee relations, payroll, regulatory compliance, training and development, workers compensation and unemployment, employee benefit administration and administrative support. RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Prepares and distributes benefit enrollment packets to newly eligible employees and tracks enrollment process for compliance. Benefits reporting.
  • Works with third party administrators to handle employee benefit concerns.
  • Process payroll and withholdings on weekly basis.
  • Review timecards and timesheet reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepares and distributes benefit enrollment packets to newly eligible employees and tracks enrollment process for compliance. Benefits reporting.
  • Works with third party administrators to handle employee benefit concerns.
  • Complete new hire reporting requirements to appropriate State/Governmental agencies.
  • Ensures COBRA compliance and maintains process.
  • Assists in coordination of HR programs and events.
  • Manages anniversary service acknowledgement process for both internal and external employees.
  • Inputs and/or audits new hire information, changes, terminations into HR System
  • Maintains confidentiality of records, files, and other documentation.
  • Assist Senior HR Generalist with updating job descriptions, policies, documents, and handbook.
  • Manage employee leave following policies and practices in place and those set by FMLA. Ensures compliance with all FMLA and ADA rules and regulations.
  • Workers Compensation Claims Management.
  • Unemployment Claims management.
  • Workers Compensation claim information and all Unemployment Claim information.
  • Prepares and provide timely disclosures and/or interrogatories to courts, child support agencies, and other organizations as directed on the order for employees.
  • Assist with W2 distribution.
  • Maintains complete, accurate and readily accessible files that conform to applicable policies and procedures (garnishment, worker’s comp and unemployment.
  • Provides the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) with monthly statistical data.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in business or human resources; minimum 2-3 years’ experience in human resource and payroll. Equivalent combination of education and applicable experience may be considered.
  • Must understand benefit concepts and terminology as demonstrated by a minimum of two years’ experience or education concentration in employee benefits.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and detail orientation.
  • Display a ‘Can Do” approach.
